What do ClinicalTrials.gov status changes mean?
Recruiting, suspended, terminated, withdrawn — registry status is where bad news often lands first.
Sponsors must update study status within 30 days of a change. Terminated means stopped early and won't restart; suspended means halted but may resume; withdrawn means never started properly.
Terminations frequently post to the registry before any press release. Our change-detection engine polls tracked trials continuously and records every field-level diff with a detection timestamp.
