What is Fast Track Designation?
An FDA expedited program enabling more frequent agency interactions and rolling submission.
Fast Track is granted for drugs addressing unmet need in serious conditions. It allows rolling BLA/NDA submission and more FDA communication, but — unlike BTD — no guaranteed intensive guidance.
It is the weakest of the four expedited programs as a catalyst signal.
